  • Works not using AI as a central creative element will be disqualified — we love traditional films too, but this is an AI festival.
  • Small portions of post-production with classical tools (After Effects, Premiere, etc.) are fine, as long as most of the creative process involves AI.
  • Scripts may be written with or without AI assistance — both approaches are accepted.
  • Films must be completed in 2025 and have a duration between 2 and 15 minutes.

    • By submitting, you grant AIMA permission to use your project’s promotional assets (poster, stills, trailer, synopsis, etc.) for:
Publication on www.aimovieawards.org, FestHome, FilmFreeway and affiliated sites
Social media, press releases, educational programs, press kits, and printed materials.

  • Documentary or music-based AI works

🚫 We do not accept:

  • Trailers or demo reels (our focus is on storytelling)

  • Films not in English must include English subtitles.
  • Scripts or text-based elements must be in English or include an English translation.

    • screen your film in cinemas and during the festival,
    • feature it on the official AIMA YouTube playlist and social channels,
    • use short excerpts, posters, or stills for promotion.

Values of AIMA

The Mallorca AI Movie Awards (AIMA) was born from the conviction that artificial intelligence does not replace human creativity — it amplifies it. The festival celebrates the meeting point between art, technology, and consciousness, offering a profoundly humanistic perspective on the future of audiovisual creation. At AIMA, artificial intelligence is understood as a revolutionary tool in service of the human spirit — a new language capable of transforming imagination into image, emotion into form, and thought into sensory experience.

Beyond technological innovation, AIMA seeks to generate dialogue and social reflection, promoting values of diversity, sustainability, and cultural heritage. Each award is an opportunity to highlight how creativity can inspire a more conscious, inclusive, and connected world. Among our categories are recognitions that celebrate the ethical and emotional dimension of art:
  • Human Spirit Award – for expressing empathy and human beauty through AI.
  • Planet & Consciousness Award – for promoting sustainability and respect for nature.
  • Cultural Heritage Award – for reinterpreting memory and cultural legacy through a contemporary lens.
  • Women in AI Arts Award – for highlighting women’s leadership in artistic innovation.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Award – for amplifying new voices and creative perspectives.
AIMA aspires to become an international meeting point where digital art bridges generations, cultures, and sensibilities — a space where the future of cinema is written with the sensitivity of the present and the memory of the past.
